We must understand our Enemy #4

This week we will dispel the myth of the contributaions to society by Islam and the Muslims

We have all heard President Obama claim that Muslims built the very foundation of the United States of America.  Well, this is a practice that has been done by Muslims throughout time.  I’m so saying he’s a Muslim because that is for a different discussion.  What I am saying is Muslims often claim that Islam has fostered a rich heritage of scientific discovery, which paved the way for modern advances in technology and medicine.  This post will dispel that myth.

Muslims will usually cite the period between the 7th and 13th centuries when Europe was in its Dark Ages.  During this period the Muslim world was acquiring new populations and culture through violent conquest.

Although one cannot argue the Muslim world was relatively more advanced during that period than the Christian world, it had nothing to do with the Islamic religion itself.  In fact, the religion tends to discourage knowledge outside of itself (Quran 5:101-102), which is why the most prolific Muslim scholars are usually students of religion rather than science.

There are four basic reasons why Islam has little true claim to scientific achievement:

First, the Muslim world benefited greatly from the Greek sciences, which were translated for them by dhimmi Christians and Jews.

Secondly, many of the scientific advances credited to Islam were actually stolen from other cultures they conquered.  The algebraic concept of “zero” is erroneously attributed to Islam when in fact it was a Hindu discovery and was merely introduced to the West by Muslims.

Truth be told, conquered populations added greatly to the history of supposed Muslim science until gradually being decimated by conversion to Islam under the pressures of dhimmitude.  Muslims were never more than a minority in the Muslim world, and they were in fact merely claiming the accomplishments of others as their own.  It is no accident the Muslim world has had little to show for itself in the last 800 years, since running out of new civilizations to cannibalize.

Third, Muslim scientists and cultural icons were often considered heretics in their day.  Persian scientist and philosopher, al-Razi often has his impressive works held up as proof of Muslim accomplishment.  However, al-Razi was denounced as a blasphemer, because he followed his own religious beliefs which were in contradiction to teachings of traditional Islam.

Fourth, even the contributions credited to Islam and often inaccurately, are not terribly dramatic.  There is the invention of certain words, such as alchemy and elixir, even assassin, but not much else that survives in modern technology which is of practical significance.

In fact, the majority of Muslim achievements owe their true origins to the many conquered civilizations.  It’s quite amazing how the truth of these discoveries is often omitted.

So in conclusion, the significant achievements touted to have come out of the Islamic world were done by non-Muslims who lived under Islamic rule, or by heretics who had little interest in Islam.

We must understand our Enemy #3

This week we are going to go into what the word Islam truly means.

How many times have we heard, “Islam is a Religion of Peace?”  They then go on to say, in fact, the word Islam actually means peace.  However, that is not true.

Muslim apologists will claim the root word of Islam is “al-Salaam,” which means “peace” in Arabic.  However, a word in Arabic only has ONE root.  The root word for Islam is “al-Silm,” which actually means “submission” or “surrender.” 

There is no disagreement about this among Arabic or Islamic scholars.  al-Silm (submission) does not mean the same thing as al-Salaam (peace). Otherwise, they would be the same word.

In our culture, submission has a much different meaning than peace.  We do not believe that peace is gained by submission to others.   As the modern-day Islamic scholar, Ibrahim Sulaiman, says, "Jihad is not inhumane, despite its necessary violence and bloodshed.  Its ultimate desire is peace which is protected and enhanced by the rule of law."

In truth, the Quran not only commands Muslims to submit to Allah, but it also orders them to subdue those of other religions until they submit to Islamic rule.  This has led to the aggressive history of followers of Islam to conquer other cultures and bring them under the rule of Islamic law.

The Quran says all will be judged by Allah.  However, this does not mean all have equal rights or are judged by the same standards.

There is no doubt in the teachings of the Quran, the life of Muhammad, or Islamic law as to the inferiority of women to men.  No matter how hard apologists today try to say there are verses that teach otherwise, there is NO such progressive interpretation found in the Quran.

Muhammad would often hand out captured women as war prizes to his men after military conquests.  In at least one case, he ordered the women be raped in front of their husbands.  Then those captured women were made into sex slaves by the same men who had killed their husbands and brothers.  There are four verses in which Allah makes clear that a Muslim Master has full sexual access to his female slaves, yet there is not one that prohibits rape.

The Quran also gives Muslim men permission to beat their wives for disobedience.  However, not one verse commands love in marriage (although it does say love exists).  The verses plainly say Husbands are a degree above their wives.  The Hadith says women are intellectually inferior to men, and the majority of Hell’s occupants are women.

Under Islamic law, a man may divorce his wife at his choosing.  If he does this twice, then wishes to remarry her, she must first have sex with another man.  Men are exempt from such degradations.

Muslim women are not free to marry whomever they please as Muslim men are.  Their husband may also bring other wives and/or slaves into the marriage bed.  A wife must also be sexually available to her husband at any time.

Muslim women do not inherit property in equal portion to males.  This is somewhat ironic since Islam owes its existence to the wealth of Muhammad's first wife.

A woman's testimony in court is considered to be worth only half that of a man’s, according to the Quran.  Unlike a man, she must also cover her head, and often her face.

If a woman claims to have been raped, there must be four male witnesses to corroborate her account.  This is mandated by strict Sharia Law.  Otherwise, she can be jailed or stoned to death for confessing to adultery.  You see, it’s not rape without the four male witnesses.

All this clearly shows there is NO equality under Islam.  This claim is merely a ploy designed for those unwilling to accept the truth and reality of Islamic law and history.

Jihad is mentioned over 200 times in the words of Muhammad.  In Arabic, jihad means struggle.  However, in Islam, it means HOLY WAR.

This constant argument of who the true Muslims are is foolish because the Quran clearly distinguishes the true Muslim from the pretender in Sura 9 and elsewhere.  In this, one of the last chapters of the Quran, the true believer strives and fights with their wealth and persons while the hypocrites are those who sit at home, refusing to join the jihad against unbelievers in foreign lands.

Muhammad organized 65 military campaigns in the last ten years of his life and personally led 27 of them.  The more power he attained, the smaller the excuse needed to go to battle, until finally, he began attacking tribes merely because they were not yet part of his growing empire.

Muhammad left his men with instructions to take the battle against Christians, Persians, Jews, and polytheists, which came to include millions of unfortunate Hindus.  For the next four centuries, Muslim armies, attacked unsuspecting neighbors, plundering them of loot and slaves, and forcing the survivors to either convert or pay tribute at the point of a sword.

As we’ve already covered in this series, by the time of the Crusades when the Europeans began to fight back, the so-called Religion of Peace had conquered two-thirds of the Christian world by the sword, from Syria to Spain, and across North Africa.  Millions of Christians were enslaved by Muslims, and tens of millions of Africans.  The Arab slave-trading routes would stay open for 1300 years until pressure from Christian-based countries forced Islamic nations to declare the practice illegal.  To this day, the Muslim world has never apologized for the victims of Jihad and slavery.

There is not another religion in the world that consistently produces terrorism in the name of their God as does Islam.  The most dangerous are those who interpret the Quran most transparently.  They are the fundamentalists or purists of the faith and believe in Muhammad’s mandate to spread Islamic rule by the sword, putting to death those who will not submit.  In the absence of true infidels, they will even turn on each other.

The holy texts of Islam are full of verses commanding violence and hatred toward those outside the faith, as well as the hypocrites, who are Muslims, who don't act like Muslims by following the commands of Muhammad.  In earlier verses of the Quran, violence was forbidden, then as it progressed violence was permitted, and then finally it was mandatory.  The handful of previous verses that spoke of tolerance is overwhelmed by the later ones that carry a much different message.  While Old Testament verses of blood and guts are generally bound by historical context within the text itself, Quranic imperatives to violence usually appear open-ended and subject to personal interpretation. 

From the history of the faith to its most sacred of writings, one who wants to believe in a peaceful Islam has a lot more to ignore than do those who want to perform acts of terrorism.  To be completely honest, the Religion of Peace has been the harshest and bloodiest religion the world has ever known.  In Islam, believers say there will be no peace unless Muslims are in power.

What Muslims call tolerance, others would consider institutionalized discrimination and enslavement.  The consignment of Jews and Christians to dhimmis under Islamic rule means they are not allowed the same religious rights and freedoms as Muslims.  They cannot share their faith, or build houses of worship without permission.

Historically, dhimmis are forced to wear distinctive clothing or cut their hair in a particular manner.  This is to mark their position of inferiority and humiliation, such as how the Nazis labeled the Jews.  They do not share the same legal rights as Muslims, and must even pay a poll tax called the jizya.  Then they are killed or have their children taken from them if they cannot meet the tax collector’s requirements.

For hundreds of years, the Christian population in occupied Europe had their sons taken away and forcibly converted into Muslim warriors known as Jannisaries by the Ottoman Turks.

For those who are not the People of the Book, such as Hindus and atheists, there is very little tolerance to be found once Islam establishes political superiority.  The Quran commands Muslims to fight in the way of Allah until religion is only for Allah.  Then those who find themselves conquered face death if they do not establish regular prayer and charity in the Islamic tradition according to the pillars of Islam, which is what is being taught in many of our schools across this country today.

Tens of millions of Hindus and Buddhists were displaced or forcibly converted over the last thousand years.  Islamists in Somalia today behead Christians, and in Iran, they are jailed.

There are about 500 verses in the Quran that speak of Allah’s hatred for non-Muslims and the punishment he has prepared for them.

As for Sura 109, any true Quran scholar will point out that the purpose of the verse was to distinguish Islam from the Gods of the Quraysh, one of which was named Allah, rather than to advocate religious tolerance for non-Muslims.

At the time he narrated this very early verse, Muhammad did not have any power, and thus no choice but to be tolerant of others.  However, no real tolerance was shown once he returned to Mecca many years later and demanded the eviction or death of anyone who would not convert to Islam.  In fact, he physically destroyed the cherished idols of the very people he addressed in Sura 109.

We are told to believe that Islam teaches to be tolerant and peaceful, but as you can see by its history and actions of those professing their belief in its teachings, then Islam is fundamentally the most intolerant religion we are facing today.

Don’t allow those pushing the false narrative about Islam.  Don’t let them guilt you into silence.  We are fighting not only for our lives but our futures.  Do we want to live as a free people to worship and live as we choose, or do we want to submit to Islam and live a life of fear?

We must understand our Enemy #2

This week we will be covering the truth about the Christian Crusades.  It’s time that people understand the truth of how they came to be and why the Christians invaded the Arab countries.

Muslims enjoy talking about the invading forces of the Crusades and Christians seem to feel the need to apologize for them.  To hear both parties tell the story, one is led to believe the Muslims just peacefully minded their own business in lands that were legitimately Muslim when the invading Christian armies decided to wage righteous, Holy War and kill millions of innocent Muslims.

However, this version of history is a lie.  According to the rules Muslims claim for themselves, the Crusades were justified, and the excesses pale in comparison with the historical treatment of conquered populations at the hands of conquering Muslims.

Here are some quick facts...

Europe was harassed by Muslims the first few years following Muhammad’s death.  As early as 652, Muhammad’s followers launched raids on the Island of Sicily, then finally waging a full-scale occupation 200 years later, lasting nearly a century.  This constant invading of Christian lands was punctuated by massacres, such as the one at the town of Castrogiovanni, in which 8,000 Christians were put to death.  In 1084, ten years before the first Crusade, Muslims staged another devastating Sicilian raid, burning churches in Reggio, enslaving monks and raping an abbey of nuns before carrying them off into captivity.

In 1095, the Byzantine Emperor, Alexius I Comnenus had begged the Pope in Rome for help in turning back the Muslim armies, overrunning what is now Turkey.  They had grabbed property and turned churches into mosques.  Several hundred thousand Christians were killed in Anatolia in the decades following 1050 by Seljuk invaders interested in the forced conversion of the survivors to Islam.

Not only were Christians losing their lives in their own lands, but pilgrims to the Holy Land from other parts of Europe were often kidnapped, molested, forcibly converted to Islam, and occasionally murdered.

Even though there are those who often compare the Crusades to Muslim jihad, it was actually just a delayed and limited response to the Muslim jihad perpetrated on the Christians.  Forgiveness of sins was granted to those jihadists who fought in defense of the Holy Church of God and the Christian religion, and eternal life was promised for those fighting the infidel.  This clearly reflects the Muslim notion of jihad.

Unlike the jihad, the Crusade was concerned with the defense or reconquest of threatened or lost Christian territories.  The Muslim jihad, in contrast, is perceived a religious obligation that will continue until all the world had either adopted the Muslim faith or submitted to Muslim rule.  The object of jihad is to bring the whole world under Islamic law: Sharia Law.

The Crusaders only invaded Christian lands.  They didn’t attack Saudi Arabia or pillage Mecca, as the Muslims did and continued doing to Italy and Constantinople.  The Crusaders goal was to recapture Jerusalem, and their security goal was the safe passage for pilgrims.  The toppling of the Muslim empire was in no way on their agenda.

The period of Crusader occupation of its own former lands lasted only about 170 years, which is far less than the Muslim occupation of Sicily and southern Italy alone.  To say nothing of Spain and other lands that had never been Islamic before falling victim to Jihad.  In fact, the Arab occupation of North Africa and Middle Eastern lands outside of Arabia is nearly 1400 years old.

Despite popular portrayal, the Crusades were never a battle between Christianity and Islam.  Although initially dispatched by Papal decree, the occupiers quickly became part of the political and economic fabric of the Middle East without much regard for religious differences.

Another misconception is the Crusader era was a time of constant war.  In fact, very little of this overall period included any significant hostilities.  In response to the Muslim expansion, there were only about 20 years of actual military campaigning.  By comparison, the Muslim Jihad against the Island of Sicily lasted 75 years.

Ironically, the Crusades can actually be justified from the teachings of the Quran itself, which encourages Holy War to drive invaders out of the places from whence they drove you out.  (2:191).  The objective wasn't to expel Muslims from the Middle East but to stop the attacks on Christian pilgrims in the region.  Holy War is not justified by the teachings of the New Testament; however, was a response to centuries of relentless Jihad against Christianity that began long before and continued well after the Crusades.

The greatest offense of the Crusaders was their attack on the city of Jerusalem, in which it is said at least 3,000 people were massacred.  However, this number pales in comparison to the number of Jihad victims, from India to Constantinople, Africa, and Narbonne.  While Christians have apologized for their actions, Muslims have never apologized for theirs and never will.

What is called sin and excess by the other religions of the world are what Islam considers a duty willed by Allah.

So, the next time someone tells you the reason Muslims are attacking Christians today is because of the Crusades, you can now set the record straight.

We must understand our Enemy #1

As a nation, we are facing an enemy unlike any in our history.  This enemy is not like the Nazis of WWII or the Japanese, who attacked Pearl Harbor.  This enemy is one that has mastered the fine art of using our fear of appearing judgmental and close-minded against us.  Every day we hear those in the media and elected to the highest offices of government speak of how Islam is a Religion of Peace.  They talk about how those attacking innocent people are only a small percentage of Muslims around the world so should not be lumped in with the jihadists.

Well, I felt it was time to clear the muddy waters on the truth of Islam and its teachings.  This is the first of several posts that will tackle the truth and dispel the falsehoods spread by those with a political agenda.  It’s time that we understand just who it is we are facing in The War on Terrorism.

Ten simple reasons why Islam is Not a Religion of Peace

#1 – there has been approximately 18,000 deadly terror attacks committed in the name of Islam in just the last ten years worldwide.

#2 - Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, had people killed for insulting him or for criticizing his religion.  It did not matter who they were; women and children were not excluded.  Muslims are commanded to emulate the example of Muhammad.

 #3 - Muhammad had said several times that he was ordered by Allah to fight men until they testified there is no god but Allah.  He also said Allah had chosen him as his messenger.  In the last nine years of his life, Muhammad ordered no less than 65 military campaigns to fulfill that command.  Muhammad inspired his men to war by using captured loot, sex and the promise of paradise as incentives.  He beheaded captives, enslaved children and raped women captured in battle.  This is something we need to understand fully; Muslims are commanded to emulate the example of Muhammad.

#4 - After Muhammad had died; the people who lived with him and knew his religion best immediately fell into war with each other.  10,000 Muslims were killed in a single battle waged less than 25 years after Muhammad's death.  Infighting and power struggles between Muhammad's family members, closest companions and their children intensified with time with several being murdered.  Within 50 short years of Muhammad's death, even the Kaaba, which had stood for centuries under pagan religion, lay in ruins from internal Muslim war, and that's just the fate of those within the house of Islam.

#5 - Muhammad directed Muslims to wage war on other religions and bring them under submission to Islam.  Within the first few decades following his death, his Arabian companions invaded and conquered Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist and Zoroastrian lands. A mere 25 years after Muhammad's death, Muslim armies had captured land and people within the borders of over 28 modern countries outside of Saudi Arabia.

#6 - Muslims continued their Jihad against other religions for 1400 years, checked only by the ability of non-Muslims to defend themselves.  To this day, Islamic fundamentalists continually attempt to kill Christians, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists in the name of Allah.

#7 - Islam is the only religion that retains its membership by threatening to kill anyone who leaves.  This was set forth by Muhammad and continues today.

#8 - Islam teaches that non-Muslims are less than fully human.  Muhammad stated that Muslims can be put to death for the murder of a believer, but a Muslim would never be put to death for killing a non-believer.

#9 - The Quran never speaks of Allah's love for non-Muslims, but it speaks of Allah's cruelty toward and hatred of non-Muslims more than 500 times.

#10 - "Allahu Akbar!  Allahu Akbar!  Allahu Akbar!"  were the last words heard from the cockpit of Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania on 9-11-2001.

As you can see, we are being lied to on a daily basis.  Islam does not teach to love those of other religions.  My friends, we must arm ourselves with the facts of Islam.  We must not allow the Political Correctness crowd to control the narrative.  I hope you have found this post informative and will share it with your friends and family.
